Offscript is a winemaking incubator from the country’s largest family-owned winery, giving talented winemakers free rein to bring their visions to life. It is inspired by the legacy of mentorship started 60 years ago by Julio Gallo.
Every two years, Offscript empowers a new “class” of winemakers to create wines that challenge the status quo and explore beyond the confines of tradition.
As a family-owned company, caring for our land and people is a foundational priority. This commitment not only fosters a healthier working environment but also yields better wine. We strive to source our wines from sustainably farmed vineyards and use California-produced lightweight glass, of which up to 70% is recycled.
It is our conviction that we should leave the land better than we found it. To this end, for every acre we cultivate, we leave an acre untouched, open to the wilderness. We call this commitment Gallo’s 50/50 Giveback.
